Ricky Wilson
Ricky Wilson joined the United States Marine Corps right out of high school. During his time in the corps he was stationed in various places including Iraq. In late July of 2005, he transitioned out of the military with plans on pursuing a college degree and moved to Wilson to be with his fiancée. Ricky chose Wilson Community College because it was close to where he lived, worked, and it offered the program he was interested in, so he enrolled in the fall of 2005 taking a full-time load and working full-time. Ricky graduated from Wilson Community College in May of 2008 with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Upon his graduation he was able to get a new job that he loves, a better work schedule, more money, plus his job now applies to his degree and challenges him everyday. Ricky is currently taking college transfer courses to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He feels that the degree he earned from the college has definitely made an impact in his life. Thanks to Wilson Community College he has a degree that has made him a more knowledgeable and marketable person in society.
